🎮 Core Gameplay

The core loop of Duck Life revolves around a "Train -> Race -> Upgrade" cycle. You cannot win races on day one; you must put in the sweat in the training yards to boost your Running, Flying, and Swimming skill levels. In the training minigames, you take direct control using your keyboard. You'll dodge rolling logs, navigate underwater caves, and adjust flight paths. The longer you survive in a training session, the more skill points your duck earns. It's a great test of your own gaming reflexes! Once you feel prepared, enter the Racing Stadium. Here, your duck runs automatically based on the stats you've built up. However, races drain Energy quickly! You must use the coins you earn from racing and training to buy Seed from the shop. Feeding your duck increases its maximum Energy, ensuring it doesn't pass out before the finish line!

🐣 Interface Overview

The UI is highly intuitive, allowing you to manage your duck's career easily: - Duck Avatar: Shows exactly what your duck looks like with its current color and cosmetics. - Stat Trackers: Clearly displays your duck's current levels in Energy, Running, Flying, and Swimming. Always check this to see where you need to improve before a big race. - Activity Buttons: Quick links to instantly jump into Races, or the Running, Flying, and Swimming training zones. - The Shop: The hub for your hard-earned cash! Buy Skill Seed to boost your Energy cap, or buy cool hats and dyes to make your racer look fabulous.

⌨️ Game Controls

- Swimming Training: Use the ↑ (Up Arrow) to jump out of the water, and ↓ (Down Arrow) to dive deep. Use ←/→ (Left/Right) to move laterally. Avoid the hazards and collect the floating coins! - Running Training: Use the ↑ (Up Arrow) to jump over the rolling boulders coming at you. Timing is everything! Grab coins while surviving. - Flying Training: Click and drag your mouse (or use Up/Down arrows) to adjust your duck's altitude. Weave through the gaps in the terrain and snag the coins.

What is the main point of this game?

It's a sports RPG! You train your duck's stats (Running, Flying, Swimming) via arcade minigames, race against AI ducks to win money, and use that money to buy food (Energy) and cosmetics. Keep training until you beat the final boss duck!

Why do I need to train? Can't I just race?

If you enter a race with level 1 stats, your duck will be incredibly slow, get stuck on obstacles, and lose instantly. Training physically increases the speed and efficiency of your duck in that specific terrain.

What are the coins for?

Coins are vital! You use them in the Shop. Their most important use is buying Seed to feed your duck, which permanently raises its Energy limit so it doesn't tire out during long races. You can also spend them on fun cosmetic hats and colors!
